The vision and plans for building an integrated, holistic, global organization framework began in the Spring, 2004. The original
visionary and founder of Planet Coexist, Tzadik Greenberg (also known as Tzadik Meirasheit), began these plans for the sake of promoting
eco-spiritual living worldwide, with the specific intention of outlining methods as to how to carry that out, as a means toward
facilitating on-going planetary healing. The vision includes components operating on multiple levels of social organizing systems -
spiritual, political, social, academic, and economic, for the distinct purpose of modeling holistic, integrated approaches to community
organizing and living.
During the fall of 2005, the Planet Coexist vision was brought to life with a website, a name, and a four day gathering (November 3rd-6th)
out at Tanque Verde Falls, in Tucson, Arizona, where 100 people joined us to celebrate life! People stayed out on the land over
the course of the next two weeks, launching an internationally promoted 11/11 initiative with a fire circle and water-rebirthing ceremony
on November 11th, and concluded this nature-bound marathon by hosting our first Full Moon Celebration. Since November 2005, the
community continued in this tradition of bringing people onto the land, by hosting monthly Full Moon Celebrations (initially out at
Tanque Verde Falls... currently hosted at Terrasante Eco-Village) - creating on-going opportunities for individuals to engage in sacred
ceremony, a space for rejuvenation, play and holistic, cooperative, community building! In addition, we hosted a celebration on
the land, geared toward creating personal and global responsibility - February 17th-19th, known as the C.A.R.E. Gathering!
Beyond our initial reputation of bringing people out on the land for community gathering and celebration, we have also hosted 'in town'
events, such as The Ecstatic Dances of Spirit & Sound Playshops and two Sacred Activism events, with plans for many more to come.
Currently, we are involved in deepening the commitment to this vision by developing the community council and organizational structure,
building various community partnerships, within the web of this gentle, yet strong world, and through engagement with the community
